Welcome to Gipping and District Dog Training Club

We are an experienced and friendly pet dog obedience training club who has served the Ipswich, Hadleigh and Hintlesham area for over 40 years.

Training classes are held Friday evenings in Hintlesham.

Dog obedience training

We offer 9-week beginners classes (1 week induction + 8 weeks training) where you will gain the skills to train your dog to be a sociable and well mannered member of your family and society.

Two trainers are provided for the beginners classes and they will stay with you throughout the course so as to ensure the consistency necessary for a young dog to learn quickly.

We train in a spacious hall, but limit class sizes so that you won't be crowded. The hall has ample off-road parking and full facilities for the disabled. For outdoor activities we have the use of a large playing field adjacent to the hall and there is a network of footpaths ideal for a walk while you are not training!

For those who have completed 16 weeks training either as a beginner or as a more experienced owner / dog in our improver classes, we offer full membership of the club and regular training sessions. We have several long-term members who have trained several generations of dogs with us.

Our trainers have a wealth of experience and use current / latest training techniques suitable for all breeds and abilities and are sympathetic to nervous dogs (or owners!).
Only positive, reward based training methods are used and our trainers ensure they keep abreast of the latest methods of training. They have the flexibility to meet the specific needs of individual dogs and owners.

      Kind - Fair - Effective
A trained dog is a happy dog
